Departments

Administration and Finance
The administration and finance department is responsible for managing the offices and the finances of the company. Administrative and finance positions include receptionist, accounts payable clerk, accounts receivable clerk, finance assistant, Human Resources specialist, Finance Manager, and General Manager.

Customer Service
Our customer service is one of the hallmarks of this company. We look for candidates that understand the fundamentals of excellent customer service – those who can communicate effectively and positively via email or phone, those who are interested in providing the highest level of service possible to our many different customers, and those who want to resolve problems quickly and fairly for all concerned. If you think you measure up, please consider joining our team. Positions include customer service representative, customer service supervisor, e-customer relations specialist, Sales/Marketing Manager.

Strong computer skills absolutely essential including typing, Microsoft Word, Outlook/ email, 10-key is a definite plus.

Information Technology
Our operations depend strongly on the Information Technology (IT) department. We run a variety of programs on computers running Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office. Our IT department is also responsible for managing our distribution software, websites and keeping our e-commerce site up, running and secure at all times. Positions include IT Manager, IT Supervisor and IT Assistants.

Publications
Our publications department is responsible for the variety of printed and web materials we create each month as well as for special projects. All of our product information, price lists and product guides are created by our publications department. Positions include publications specialist, graphic designer, and Publications Manager.

Purchasing
Our purchasing department is responsible first for purchasing the products we sell to our customers. They are responsible for making sure we don’t order too much or too little of any given product and that we provide the products our customers want. The purchasing department also helps determine which new products we’ll carry and which products we should stop carrying. Positions include purchasing assistant, purchaser and Purchasing Manager.

Retail
We have an onsite retail store in which we sell every product we have in the warehouse. Not all products are stocked on shelves in the store – the store itself is fairly small, but it happens to be attached to a giant 45,000 square foot warehouse and provides access to all our products quickly and easily. Positions here include retail clerk, Assistant Retail Manager (reports to Sales/Marketing Manager).

Transportation
Through our transportation department, we serve a seven state region. Our drivers enjoy working for ShopNatural Cooperative because they go out on relatively short runs and get back home frequently. They deliver to a variety of customers and locations throughout our seven state region ( Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Texas, California, Nevada and Utah). Since our drivers deliver to our members, we look for drivers with excellent driving records, excellent customer service skills and strong communication skills. Positions include drivers, dispatcher and transportation manager. Computer skills are not required for driver positions, but are required for other transportation positions.

Warehouse
Our warehouse is where the action is – every day (Monday-Saturday), we ship and receive thousands of pounds of products. Our warehouse operations serve our cooperative members, our online stores (ShopNatural.com and ShopNatural.biz) and our onsite store. Our products must be accurately received and slotted, properly and accurately picked, packed and shipped back out. We pack products on pallets and in boxes, our products include bulk, individual items (such as a single vitamin bottle), frozen, refrigerated and more.

Our warehouse material handler and forklift operator positions do not require computer skills but they do require solid basic math skills and you’ll need to pass a math test. We look for people who can perform warehouse tasks accurately, who work well with a wide variety of people, who work well individually and as part of a team and who want to provide excellent service to our customers – our members, our online customers, our onsite customers and our internal customers. All other warehouse positions require strong computer skills.
