TCW at the Tucson Botanical Gardens
Annual Fiesta de los Chiles
October, 2001
For the first time ever, TCW
agreed to be a major sponsor of the Tucson Botanical Gardens' annual Fiesta de
los Chiles. The fiesta is a two day event held every autumn just around the time
of the chile harvest. Chiles in every size, color and heat are displayed, eaten,
and worn.
TCW's pavilion was packed with
local and out-of-town visitors anxious to learn more about natural and organic
foods, cooperatives and buying clubs. We collected names, gave out samples and
had a wonderful time in the glorious October sun (ok, it was rather hot
and the pavilion staff were real troopers in that blistering southwestern heat,
but who's complaining?)
